HEB - Here Everything is Better

If you read Big Mama's blog and I do, she writes about HEB all the time.  It took a while but genius that I am I figured out it is a grocery store.

Now I have fully researched it and photo documented my visit.

There motto is "Here Everything is Better" and I'll have to say that is true.  Or at least it beats our four grocery stores in H'ville.
Look at this!   It appears children actually have chosen some fruit.  I hate to think what would be on this Kid's Table in South Carolina.

Ummmm.......maybe a bag of jelly beans....but not this huge choice of Jelly Bellys.

How about this cosmetic department? I sleuthed around and found; my professional hair spray I have to go to JC Penny's in Florence to get.  Every designer perfume and after shave you can name (no more trips to Belk every five years).  Truly Here Everything is Better.

How about this hoop of cheese....yep, that huge tower is real cheese.  Texas Size!

If you want some cheese already sliced, or diced, or shredded or pecan encrusted; baby they  got it!
(This is cheese too.....the pecan encrusted brie and more......Yummo!)

And should you want a dessert (and Yes I Did) no need to slave over a hot stove....it is all ready and waiting before you can say  "I am so off my diet".

Now for a little history of the HEB.  Actually, HEB stands for Howard Edward Butts.  His mother, Florence Butts started a little country store over 100 years ago.  One of her sons, Howard E, took a liking to the business and grew it into a multi-million dollar empire.  His son Charles is now CEO.

Howard's motto was: "He profits most who serves best!"   How's that workin' for you, Howard?

Would you believe that when I read your comment about cheese "If you want...baby, they got it!" I was actually listening to Huey Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow sing 'Cruisin' in which you will remember there is the line "If you want it, baby, you got it". Cue Twilight Zone music...

I want to go to HEB!
